Big thing small space Project SR20

With the SR20 in place sitting down low enough to fit under the hood and on the right angle there are a couple of problems to sort out. With a low entry plenum that came with the SR20 it will interfere with the steering column on ta RHD Fairlady.

Options include quad throttle body as used in the Japanese example, this was out side my budget of next to no dollars, or a high entry plenum, also expensive. So a small section was removed from the rear of the plenum and patched up as shown.

The next issue was the O2 sensor interfering with the inner gard, It was possible to move it I guess but a hole saw provided another option.

One minor adjustment was to the dip stick mount normally bolted directly to the engine it had to be offset to clear the alternator. I piece of tube and a longer bolt took care of that.
