Sydney Photo Meet #7
Vivid A Festival of light, music and ideas
Well it was a wet night when we gathered for the 7th Whirlpool Sydney photo meet. I’d taken delivery of a Samyang f2.8, 8mm fish-eye so I may have used it a bit heavily. Being a manual lens no aperture data is available so it defaults to f1 in the Exif.
Unless I was doing a long exposure it seems like I kept selecting “autoISO 6400” so it being dark it kept defaulting to 6400 ISO.
So I’m thinking of them not so much as good shots because there few and far between but as a test of the cameras performance at 6400 ISO. I have to blame something so I’m blaming the weather, it’s easier than admitting I’m a clutz.
Here is a set of Opera House shots the high ISO has obviously grained them up heaps. Most if not all are a right off these are the best of a bad bunch.
And here are my last set of Fish-eye shots before the late night and the weather got the better of me and the drops on the lens were a constant battle.
Feel free to comment /ridicule as you see fit. 🙂
