Zambia
We saw this African take on the petrol station in Zambia not far from Victoria Falls.
This is an in camera panorama of the Zambezi river from the back of the lodge we stayed in. It was very quiet as we were there in the wet season.
We took the classic sunset cruse on the river were we were treated to abundant wildlife including a family of elephants coming down for a swim. Around the lodge we saw the ever present monkeys and occasionally other inhabitants like this little guy only as big as the first knuckle on you thumb. In the bright sunlight he? looked almost pure white it wasn’t until I looked at the back of the camera that you could see the yellow.
We also went on an elephant back safari, which was a chance to get up close and personal with the elephants as well as go for a trek through the bush. Elephants are not small! A portion of the cost goes to elephant conservation.
